In the Name of Allah The most Gracious The Most Merciful

If you can be unknown, be so it doesn’t matter if you are not known and it doesn’t matter if you are not praised. It doesn’t matter if you are blameworthy according to people if you are praiseworthy with Allah, the Mighty and Majestic.”

Al Fudail ibn ‘iyadh, al Bayhaqi, Al Zuhd Al Kabir p100.

Seek (beneficial) knowledge, because seeking it for the sake of Allaah is a worship. And knowing it makes you more God-fearing; and searching for it is jihad, teaching it to those who do not know is charity, reviewing and learning it more is like tasbeeh. Through knowledge Allaah will be known and worshipped.”
Ibn Taimiyah

Man’s fear of Allah is equal to his knowledge of Him, and his renunciation of the life of this world is equal to his desire of the Hereafter. Whoever acts according to what he knows, Allah will make him successful in what he doesn’t know. And whoever is ill-tempered disgraces his honour, religion and generosity
Al Fudhail bin ‘iyadh

All humans are dead except those who have knowledge  and all those who have knowledge are asleep, except those who do good deeds and those who do good deeds are deceived, except those who are sincere … and those who are sincere are always in a state of worry. Ward off passing thoughts, for if you do not, they will become ideas. Ward off ideas, for if you do not, they will become desires. Fight the desires, for if you do not, they will become resolve and determination. And if you do not ward them off, they will become actions. If you do not resist them with its opposite, they will become habits. And it will be difficult for you to get rid of them
Ibn Qayyim

Duas and ta’awwudhaat [prayers seeking refuge with Allaah] are like a weapon, and a weapon is only as good as the person who is using it; it is not merely the matter of how sharp it is. If the weapon is perfect and free of faults, and the arm of the person using it is strong, and there is nothing stopping him, then he can lay waste the enemy. But if any of these three features is lacking, then the effect will be lacking accordingly
Ibn Qayyim

The more the servant loves his Master, the less he will love other objects and they will decrease in number. The less the servant loves his Master, the more he will love other objects and they will increase in number
Ibn Taimiyah

Deeds without sincerity are like a traveler who carries in his water-jug dirt. The carrying of it burdens him and it brings no benefit.
Ibn Qayyim

“It used to be said that there were five things that the companions of Muhammad (ﷺ) and those who followed them in goodness were upon: (1) sticking to the Jamaa’ah, (2) following the Sunnah, (3) maintaining the Masjids, (4) reciting the Qur’an, and (5) making jihaad in Allah’s cause.” (Hilyah, 8/142)
Imam Abd al-Rahman al-Awza’i

“Three qualities are from patience: not speaking about your misfortune, (not speaking about) your pain, and not praising yourself.”
(Al-Hilyah, 6/389)
Imam Sufyaan Ath-Thawree

Shaykh al Fawzaan hafidhahullah

The importance of Salaah in Islam is so great that even sitting and waiting for Salaah is considered worship itself! [Fadhaa-il as-Salaah, p.13]

Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahab al Wasaabee;

“A believer searches for the Truth and follows it, while a hypocrite flees from the Truth and rejects it. This hypocrite is the one who claims Islaam – if he does not claim Islaam, he is a disbeliever. But if he is a person who claims Islaam, then we say to him that the way of a Muslim is that he searches for the Truth, pursues it and follows it because of his love for his Religion, while the hypocrite flees from the Truth and if it catches up to him, he rejects it. Claiming Islaam while not acting upon it brings no benefit. People claimed it in the the time of Allaah’s Messenger, sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam, and they used to pray with him, fast with him, make hajj with him and fight with him.”
